• Originally built (converted to track / fast-road car) by the Beardmore Brothers, a well-known company in modified Minor circles

• Based on a 1965 Minor van chassis (to create a much stiffer and safer base than an ordinary Minor convertible) the car has a 1968 Saloon upper: this is different to a standard Minor tourer which is just a saloon with the roof cut off and some extra steel channels in the sills.  The chassis and front section of the van were used, fitted with saloon doors and rear section which was fully seam welded into place underneath

• Bare metal etch primed

• The strengthened Morris van chassis was originally Waxoiled

• Automatic twin-ram lift option for bonnet opening

• Competition seats: Cobra Daytona reclining

• Sparco Blue 4-point fixing centre buckle harnesses

• Removable MSA-standard competition sprint / hill-climb half-cage

• Removable racing quick-fit competition steering wheel (re-modelled with yellow top-of-steering band and also to include a working Morris ‘M’ horn-push from May-23)

• Vauxhall Miami Blue paintwork from around 1989-92-ish

    • 2-pack on rear wings and boot lid

• The interior has custom re-trimmed panels

• Recently renewed Morris Convertible Hood with storage bag when lowered

• Re-trimmed and carpeted rear seat area and boot (new in Aug-22) - see here

• Removable rear seat hatches provide access to audio power amplifier, crossover networks, etc. (nearside) and hidden storage area storing 5L can of emergency fuel (offside)

• ‘Dodo Mat’ sound isolation / damping fitted to rear seat and wheel arches and on bulkhead inside dashboard - see here

• Breathable waterproof cover always used when car is stored to preserve bodywork integrity (supplied with car in the case of sale)
